A new brand here at John Anthony is Gourmet with five fresh new styles just arrived this week. Gourmet heralds from Santa Monica, LA which fuses Italian and American culture to produce footwear that refuses to be categorised. Gourmet was founded by three friends Greg Lucci, Greg Johnsen and Jon Busecemi who together brought a wealth of knowledge and experience of footwear, including designing for streetwear heavyweights Supreme and Stussy.
The 35 shilhouette has been updated for Summer ’13 with “Ultra Leggero” sole unit, an ultra light sole technology. The 35 TX trainer uses a woven fabric upper in black and white with Napa leather wrapped around. The 35 is also available in scale effect by cutting of slices in the premium black leather upper.
Taking influence from many sporting classic silhouettes, using premium materials to produce pieces which possesses an understated complexity that underlies Gourmet’s high concept DNA.
