So this week we’ve sat down with Lee Constable, our lovely Oxford store manager. We had a 5 minute chat about this season’s trends, got his opinion on what key pieces everyone should own and where he thinks the best place in Oxford is…

.

Q. Tell us a bit about yourself?

A. I’m 32 years young, married to my beautiful wife for just over 5 years and have a gorgeous little girl who’s nearly two. Both are my world. I’ve also got a big love for football, tattoos and men’s fashion, which really helps with the job!

Q. What’s your role at JA?

A. I think it’s been nearly 12 years that I’ve been with JA and for the past 3 years I’ve been the store manager in Oxford. It’s a role that I really enjoy and have worked hard to get to. Having built a new team in Oxford store recently, it’s great to pass on that experience to the new guys to show them that with hard work you can work your way up within this company.

Q. If you didn’t work at JA, what would you be doing?

A. Like I said I love football and played when I was younger, so I would like to think I would have a career in football in some way either as a player (I wish), coach or agent! Failing that, I don’t think NASA know what they’re missing…

Q. How would you describe your personal style?

A. That’s a tough one as it depends on the time of year. But I would most likely say casual with a twist. My favourite brands are Dsquared, Billionaire Boys Club, Ralph Lauren Polo and Vivienne Westwood. Smart with an edge.

.

Q. Where’s your favourite place in Oxford?

A. I would have to say the bedroom, it’s where all the magic happens after all!

Q. Describe this season’s collection in 3 words.

A. Clean, diverse and interesting!

Q. What are your top 5 wardrobe essentials?

A.

1 – I think a good pair of jeans that can dress smart or casual is a must. Dsquared or Nudie  work perfectly in my eyes.

2 – Shoes or trainers. You spend a long time on your feet, so that’s always a must!

3 – With winter on it’s way a good coat/jacket has got to be in the wardrobe. I’m a big fan of puffa/down jackets and this season I think we’ve got a great range.

4 – A blazer is always needed. It’s a great look with jeans or chinos.

5 – My last must have would be a good knitwear. Crew or v-neck but something you can dress up or down.

Q. If I gave you £1,000,000 what would you do with it?

A. Hmmmmm…..I’d take a nice long holiday with the family to New York over Christmas (hint hint) buy a new house and leave the rest in the bank with all my other millions!
